Volunteers (Bigs) meet for 1 hour each week during the Littles
lunch
period (day to be determined). Meeting time would depend
upon the lunch
schedule of the child (Little) you are matched with. You
may meet in the
cafeteria or gym, a classroom, or computer lab, and engage
in a variety of
activities: recreation, educational games, or simply talking
about what's
happening.
A Big Brothers Big Sisters Coordinator orients Bigs to
the school
building, introduces them to their Little Brothers or
Little Sisters, and
establishes a place and activities available for their
meetings. The
Coordinator supports each relationship for the duration
of the school year
and remains a resource to celebrate successes and/or solve
problems.
