Sue Sedivec has been Executive Director of Big
Brothers Big Sisters of Ocean County since 2001. During this time, under her
direction, the agency has grown from two full-time staff members to ten
full-time staff members and one part-time staff member. This increase in growth
is the result of the growing number of children throughout Ocean County in need
of mentors.
Sue has seen the number of Big/Little matches grow during
her tenure from 18 to more than 300. This growth has resulted in Big Brothers
Big Sisters of Ocean County receiving "Growth" awards from Big Brothers Big
Sisters of America for the past four years. Sue has been recognized with the
Oldies100 Exceptional Women Award in 2005 and the United Way of Ocean County
Constance Weaver Award in 2003. She is a member of the Ocean County Human
Services Advisory Council, the Ocean County Youth Services Commission, the
Monmouth Ocean Development Council, the Brick Township Chamber of Commerce, the
Lakewood Township Chamber of Commerce, and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of
America State Association of New Jersey. |

Prior to coming to Big Brothers Big Sisters
of Ocean County, Sue was employed at the Early Intervention Program of Monmouth
and Ocean County for 25 years. Sue brought with her the expertise and positive
attitude, which has helped develop the agency to what it is today. Her love of
children and the need to make a difference in the life of a child is reflected
