Community-based Program

Volunteers (Bigs) meet with their Little Brothers or Little Sisters freely in the community: at the playground, in the mall, over a meal, or at their home for an hour two to four times per month. The Big is usually introduced to the child and parent in their home by the Big Brothers Big Sisters Case Worker who is on hand to help launch develop and support the match relationship. The volunteer and child plan their outings together based on mutual interests and to help the child achieve greater self confidence and awareness.
